SIGNAL SCROLL / THE DETAILS

Your privacy, plainly.

Effective October 10, 2026. This describes how Signal Scroll currently works. Contact us through the editorial contact on the About page or an article’s correction form.

Reading and saving.

Search runs in your browser. Saved article identifiers are stored in local storage on your device, not in a mailing list or reader profile. Removing saved stories or clearing your browser’s site data deletes them. There is no newsletter signup or paid reader account on this release.

Hosting and requests.

Sites provides hosting and ChatGPT sign-in for the protected publisher desk. Public stories can be read without signing in. Hosting and authentication providers may process request information such as IP addresses, device information, and account identity according to their policies. Signal Scroll does not maintain an individual browsing-history database. Fonts may be fetched from Google Fonts, which receives the request information needed to deliver them.

Corrections and partner clicks.

If you submit a correction, we store the article identifier, your message, and submission time for editorial review. Avoid including sensitive information. We retain correction requests until reviewed or removed by the publisher. Activated affiliate links use an aggregate outbound-visit counter; it stores the partner identifier and total, not an IP address or individual profile. A visit count is not a purchase record.

Third-party links and advertising.

Linked publishers and merchants have their own policies. Signal Scroll loads Impact’s script for Grammarly website verification, impression tracking, and transformation of eligible affiliate links. Impact receives browser request information when this script loads. Affiliate providers may also use tracking after you follow an active paid link. Display advertising is disabled by default. If enabled after account approval and consent setup, Google and its partners may process device information and use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery and measurement. The publisher must update this notice and provide the required consent controls before activating those services.

Your choices.

You can read without clicking paid links, clear local saved data, and contact the publisher to request review or removal of a submitted correction. Do not submit personal details you do not want retained. No claim is made that external merchants follow this notice.
